So you know when you get some KFC drumsticks and can't wait to sink your teeth into that juicy thigh meat? That's the only thing I can think of when I look at your tanning pic :). I just want to grab the calf like the bone on a drumstick and taste the juicy thigh meat.

Yeah, and that's one of many, many reasons I left defense. I continue to support a strong military. I disagree with the way it was used by the Bush administration. I disagree with the frequency with which military tactics are employed by the U.S., by our readiness to toss our kids into Afghanistan for ten months at a stretch, and then again six months later. This "war" has been mismanaged, but, then again, what war is well-managed? But don't think for a second that I think we should dismantle our military and all go home and knit.

I agree, and that's kind of how I've felt in the past (when I worked for a defense contractor), and I continue to support a strong military, I just wish we didn't have to use it so damn often (and I don't think we do have to).

We call it a "romper" in America, but I think I'm going to start calling it a playsuit! That's a way cuter term!

I find your feelings on the topic interesting as someone who worked for NG, because I also work for a govt contractor and am torn on my stance on the wars we are fighting and how I contribute to them. The military is absolutely essential in defending the country, but the fight against terrorism is just getting more drawn out, bloody, and confusing.

I'd like to agree with your argument, but there will always be aggressors. Sometimes we have been the aggressor and sometimes we haven't. Whatever the case, we will always need a strong, well equipped, and large military-- we are a huge target of hatred throughout the world. And, people like Hitler couldn't be reasoned with. Only a war would have and did stop him. But, I agree it's heartbreaking to see these young kids die. And it is no consolation that they chose their own career path. I have a friend whose brilliant son turned down a full ride to Princeton to attend West Point this fall. He really wants to go to war and fight for his country...what can you do?

Anywhoo, it looked like a gorgeous day in Seattle. The grass just looks sooo green.

It greatly annoys me that you manage to look adorable in a playsuit (are they called playsuits in America?) while I look like an Project Runway experiment gone horribly wrong in one.
Damn you Sasha!
Also, totes agree with you on the argument. My mind, she is baffled. xx
