Last week I went thru the coffee drive thru and when I reached the window the cashier told me that the lady in front had purchased my coffee for me - I was so thrilled with the thoughtfullness you would have thought she handed me a million dollars. It was a small gesture, but it made my entire day and helped me to remember that there are wonderful kind people in this world.

Giving to your local food shelf is not only anonymous, it makes a big impact. Some grocery stores have collection sites right there, so it’s super easy.

I’m pretty fond of helping the grannies and grandpas at the stores. I’ve loaded groceries and returned carts on a number of occasions. They are usually BLOWN AWAY by the offer. And I know I want someone to treat my grandma that way when I’m not around!

I did this a couple of times. Go to a book store that usually has people waiting, tell the clerk that you want to discreetly purchase the book that the person behind you has, and then not to tell that person that you’re buying it for him. haha. It will make you feel WONDERFUL.
