ugh i know what you mean, its like impossible for me to lose weight with any excerise. Only pilates helps me lose any weight which is crazy. Laying and rolling on the ground like a beached whale is more effective than running on a treadmill for two miles, im stumped. But i know it works, you should try it!

Hey Sasha,
Having had extreme depression and anxiety for about 25 years, I can totally relate (not the same diagnosis, no mania for me).... but you know, and I am sure you do - that it is totally NORMAL to not be fine all day. That is how life is. I bet if you ask anyone if they feel great all day, they will tell you that they have points throughout the day that they feel self doubt and some anxiety. Even maybe a touch of sad.... That was hard for me to grasp at first when I started my meds. But I realized that they are not going to make me happy. They are going to make me stable or "normal-ish" whatever that is. And whatever it is, has highs and lows throughout the day.... AND, being creative, our types just FEEL more than others.
I feel that if I didn't feel so much or wasn't so sensitive I wouldn't be me, and so like you, sometimes I think I need to taper or stop. But the tailspin is not worth it. Not at all.

Sasha, do you mind sharing what kind of sleep meds you use? I've tried numerous and nothing seems to work for me. I currently use either Klonipin or Xanax, but my doctor keeps complaining that I am not getting "good" rem sleep. I've tried the Ambien and such and I don't fall asleep or stay alseep any better, then I am groggy the next day. Thanks.

Uck. I hate lowering dosages/switching meds. I feel okay then all of the sudden, my old brain SLAMS THE FUCK INTO ME. It terrifies me, and reminds me why I am on medication. ya know?
