Look, the best way to avoid dating assholes is to listen to your intuition, Sacha. Something tells me that you are not always listening to yourself, and what you want and need, and instead latch on to someone for the sake of a happy projection (he ‘looks’ like he would fit my fantasy of ‘the one’ sort of thing). But the more you learn to be honest with yourself, and do some self questioning BEFORE getting head over heels with some nut case, the better off you are. Deep inside, somewhere behind all the other loud voices in your head, there is the small voice of your intuition that always knows how things are. Learn to listen to it. Good luck!

That belongs in your memoir. I was in Barnes & Noble today browsing around, and your book should definitely be in there in the “New Biography” section! Just think how healing, beneficial to others and entertaining it’d be.
