Soooo, I slept for like thirteen hours last night, and woke up late this morning feeling good as new! No lingering sick at all! I was supposed to meet my friend Gayle for lunch, and she texted to see if I’d want to “go on the boat” later. She’d told me her boyfriend had a boat, and I assumed sailboat. But it turned out to be the only thing better than a sailboat — a motorboat! YAY!!! And we took Ace, the little poodle they’re dog-sitting. He was a CHAMP on the boat. I’m totally taking Leo next time.
The owner doesn’t like to drive the boat — apparently he’d just rather relax — so I got to! We had to go slow until we got into Lake Washington, but then he was like “Open it up!” and I was like “HELLS YEAH!” and it was AWESOME. We drove it through all the coves in the fancy areas and oohed and ahhed at the houses and the yachts and the Sea-Doos and the sea-planes. Yes, sea-planes. Moored in the front yard. Rough life. When I grow up, I’m gonna have a huge house on the lake and a yacht and a Sea-Doo. (But probably not a sea-plane. Shiver.)
Anyway. Pics below. Totally awesome start to the long weekend. Now I have to try to fall asleep after drinking a Red Bull four hours ago. Never. Gonna. Happen.
