I know I'll never get over what I've lost, but I hope to stop sobbing in public every time I remember. I recommend Croatia though, it was awesome- very sunny, rocky but beautiful beaches, kayaking to caves lit by underwater openings. Dubrovnik had an awesome vegetarian cafe- a great break from way too much seafood for this pescetarian. The violent history has left its mark, and it is quite sobering and puts a lot into perspective. Slovenia is worth a visit too, it's as lush as Croatia is dry and has fantastic thunderstorms. I'm glad you had a good time yesterday.
