Yes, soy milk is fine and rice milk is even better. I have found that there are very good vegan substitutes for every dairy product other than cheese. Milk, mayonnaise, cream cheese and butter all have tasty vegan alternatives. Definitely give vegan a go!!! And for sure keep trying out shrinks until you find one that works for you! xoxo

Never commented on this blog of yours Sasha, but i am so glad that you write it. A lot of what you go through, say, whatever... it's like you're finding the words to my thoughts that i can't express. This post just happen to hit the nail on the head. I'm in the process of moving out of my (dysFUNctional) house & on my own (albeit w/ a friend) for the 1st time at the ripe age of 25 (well, the end of MAy when i plan on moving i'll be turning 25). I know that my demons (what else should you call the nagging, anxiety driven episodes that i turn on myself countless times per day?) won't all be solved by removing some of the distractions in my life, and to be honest with myself they'll probably be replaced by new ones, but YOU have given me so many things to think about and well, i guess help me cope. I couldn't go Vegan never mind Veg. in my house if im not buying the food, but to start a new chapter in life, at a Quarter-Century i am. I'm also thinking of trying a shrink (I went to one for a year and he didnt help in the Slightest!). But tomorrow, and for the next week I'm going to "ditch the dairy and sugar for a week and see how I feel." Well, maybe not cut sugar 100%... and is soy milk ok? i need some in my tea & coffee. I guess im rambling and... well your "Rollercoaster" post put words to the static that fills my head yet doesn't have a name and can't adequately be explained by myself... Yet. Thank You Sasha =D & that's a REAL smile. Thank you.

Though I am not vegan, I have been dairy free since New Years. I gave it up because of years of lactose intolerance that seemed to be getting worse. My allergies have been SO much better since! I understand that dairy and wheat are both major allergy triggers. Maybe they trigger other things, too?

Keep your chin up :)

Believe me-if I thought I could go vegan, I would in a minute. It seemed to help you a great deal.

Yay! You were the reason I went vegan in the first place! Well, you were the reason I read the China Study and Skinny Bitch. And they were the reason I went vegan.

And I have never felt or looked better. So thank you. I've been a long time reader (but rare commenter) of this blog and Evil Beet and I just want to take a minute and just thank you for how much of yourself you share with your readers. We are complete strangers and I feel like I know you better than many of my friends. I can relate to so much of what you say and as you have breakthroughs and breakdowns I feel like I learn along with you.

You rock!

Good Lord, I need to get laid.
