My crazy neighbor girl who’s been threatening me got police-escorted to a psych ward…what’s sad is that not only is she crazy, she’s dumb as shit and I have to co-exist with this person and breathe the same air. She makes absolutely no sense, but will expound upon the economy using big words mispronounced and out of context. What bums me out is when stupid people don’t know they’re stupid. And then they vote. Blah.

it’s about as bad here in Australia Sasha. I’m sad to say it, and I’d like to think that the people that I keep company with are well-informed about their own financial situation and now out blowing thousands of dollars on shoes and hair-cuts, but that’s all I hear about from the girls at work.

it makes me want to punch them!

our government just yesterday announced a $10.4 billion handout to pensioners and low income earners, and increased (that’s right, increased, not introduced) the first home-owners grant to $14 000 from $7000, and people were STILL complaining because they didn’t get a lump sum gift from Kevin Rudd, because they are a middle income-earner. no one could understand the concept of stimulating economic activity for the good of everyone. they just wanted a thousand dollars in their bank account, for free.

I agree with everything you just said. I dont understand why people never put the blame on themselves, rather then put it on the banks and what not…

I had a conversation about this a couple of days ago with the folks at work. I was you in that conversation. Somehow, everybody here said I was “mean”, too, because the poor little borrowers were lied to by the big, bad banks.

I’m a lawyer, and I closed some of those hideous loans, and I always emphasized VERY FIRMLY that the payments could go up to levels that they may not be able to pay, in as little as 24-36 months. Too often, the borrowers were already moved into those houses in their minds. By the time they got to me, it was always too late. They did it anyway, every time. I feel like I live in a world of idiots, but at least you understand.

Thanks for making today look so positive. You should really think about being a motivational speaker. Yes I am being ironic. At least you have more of a grasp on reality and all that is going on in the business world than 95% of the rest of the country. In other words if I don’t understand the news on TV or in the paper I come here so that you can explain it to me in human terms.
